Emmylou Harris is an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist who was born on April 2, 1947. Over the course of her career, she has recorded dozens of albums and singles and received numerous awards, including 14 Grammys, the Polar Music Prize, and inductions into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2008 and the Grand Ole Opry in 1992. She received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2018.
