Mexican-American actor Emilio Delgado has passed away. He passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at the age of 81.
Emilio, who is widely known for his role as Luis on “Sesame Street”, pioneered children’s television.
He played Luis, the Fix-It Shop owner for a total of 40 years on Sesame Street, and took a brief hiatus from the show in the late 80s, but returned within a year.
Aside from his major influence on children and major Hollywood roles, Delgado also performed in live theater throughout his career and has appeared at various conventions over the years.

Emilio Delgado, who was diagnosed with blood cancer Multiple Myeloma in December 2020, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at his home in New York.
His wife Carol disclosed to TMZ that the veteran actor had recently been in hospice care.
It is not determined what actually caused his death.
