Ezra Bridger has been spotted for Disney+.
According to Deadline, Eman Esfandi has been cast as the cartoon character in Disney+’s live-action Ahsoka series. Lucasfilm has declined to respond.
Ezra Bridger, portrayed by Taylor Gray, originally appeared as the protagonist in the animated Star Wars: Rebels series in 2014. Gray reprised his role as the character in Lucasfilm’s 2018 animated series Star Wars: Forces of Destiny.
Ahsoka, The Mandalorian’s Disney+ spinoff, stars Rosario Dawson as the titular Ahsoka
Tano. The series will be written by Star Wars Rebels co-creator Dave Filoni and executive produced by Filoni and Jon Favreau.
Ahsoka is a member of the extraterrestrial species Togruta, which is distinguished by its huge montrals and head tails, as well as its vibrant hues. George Lucas and Filoni collaborated on the character of Ahsoka.
Esfandi’s filmography includes Red 11, a horror film directed by Robert Rodriguez, and King Richard.
He also had a role in the forthcoming LGBT military thriller The Inspection, which will have its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival. The casting was first reported by Cinelinx.
