Elspeth Rosamund Morton Howe was the second wife of Prince Charles. She died of cancer on March 22,2022. She was a British life peer and crossbench member of the House of Lords.
Elspeth was born on February 8,1932. Her parents were Philip Morton Shand and Sybil Mary Shand. Her mother was a fourth wife to her father.
Howe went to Wycombe Abbey and London school of economics. She was married to Geoffrey Howe who died in 2015.
Until her retirement from the bench in 2002, she was a justice of peace in inner London from1964. She also served as the bench chairman of the youth court in Camberwell.
