Elizabeth Tan Su Mei is a Chinese-American singer, model, and actress from Malaysia. With the release of “Knock Knock,” her debut solo album, in 2014, “Setia,” her collaboration with Faizal Tahir in 2015, and “Tabah,” she launched her musical career (2016). In addition, Shy8’s 2015 film “Usop Wilcha Meghonjang Makhluk Muzium” marked the start of her acting career. She was nominated for “Best New Artist” at the 2015 “Anugerah Planet Muzik” awards ceremony, demonstrating the recognition of her musical abilities.
Elizabeth later became the artist of Faithful Music, which was owned by Faizal Tahir and managed by Paranormal Talents. Elizabeth earned more Malay followers by speaking Malay fluently and singing Malay songs. She also starred in one of the first official video clips, “Royals” by Lorde, with whom Elizabeth performed a duet at No Noice Percussion. She released her solo album “Knock Knock,” which was produced by Faizal and Mike Chan. The song is about a girl who warns people who want to approach her not to break her heart and betray her sentiments.
She has appeared on TV stations in Indonesia for numerous television programs, such as “Sarah Sechan”, “Ini Talkshow” and “Music Everywhere”. Elizabeth also performed “Selamat Hari Raya,” and the video was shown throughout Ramadan. Elizabeth made her cinematic debut with Usop Wilcha in the comedy film “Usop Wilcha Meghonjang Makhluk Muzium,” directed by Mamat Khalid, in which she played Tyra Vlad. Elizabeth released her first English single, “Are You Leaving Now,” in January 2016. Audi Mok wrote the music for this song, while Elizabeth wrote the lyrics.
