Elisabeth Maxwell cause of death: What happened to Ghislaine Maxwell mother?

Elisabeth Jenny Jeanne Meynard, daughter of Louis “Paul” Meynard and Colombe Meynard, was born in La Grive, a town close to Saint-Alban-de-Roche, France.

Colombe Meynard was a Roman Catholic who was excommunicated for her marriage to a Protestant, while Paul Meynard was descended from Protestant Huguenot aristocracy whose distant pedigree includes French kings.

Paul, her father, was the mayor of the hamlet and the owner of a silk-weaving business.

Yvonne, an older sister, was her only sibling.

When she was nine years old, her parents sent her to England so she could enroll at the Birmingham, England, convent of Our Lady of Compassion.

She made a trip back to France in 1932.

Meynard attended the Sorbonne to study law.
