Eli Ricks, born September 26, 2001, in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, is an American football cornerback for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL).
Ricks is a young and promising cornerback who possesses the physical attributes and skill set to be a star in the NFL. He is a physical cornerback with good size and athleticism. He is also a good tackler and has the ability to play both man-to-man and zone coverage.
Professional Career
Ricks was drafted in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles. He spent his rookie season on the Eagles practice squad and did not see any regular-season playing time. However, he is expected to be a key contributor to the Eagles defense in the 2024 season.
College Career
Ricks played college football at LSU from 2019 to 2022. He was a consensus five-star recruit and was rated as the No. 1 cornerback in the 2020 class by 247Sports and ESPN. He was named to the All-SEC Freshman Team in 2020 and was a first-team All-American in 2021.

Ricks attended Oakland High School in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He was a standout cornerback for the Patriots and was named the Tennessee Gatorade Football Player of the Year in 2019.
