Veteran politician and founding member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, has shared valuable advice for the upcoming elections in Ghana. In an interview with JoySports’ Atsu Tamakloe, he emphasized the importance of allowing the will of the people to prevail without any form of manipulation.

Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe expressed his concern about potential attempts to tamper with electoral results, warning that such actions could lead to severe consequences for the country. He urged the youth to stay vigilant and ensure that the democratic process is preserved for the benefit of all.

The seasoned politician also shared his views on the NPP’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and his running mate, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh. Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe questioned their ability to secure victory in the upcoming election, stating that he personally believes their ticket may not be able to win a genuine election in the country.

Furthermore, Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe raised concerns about the selection of running mates, highlighting the importance of synergy between the presidential candidate and their partner. He criticized the lack of autonomy in choosing running mates, suggesting that this could hinder the success of the political ticket.

In addition to his electoral concerns, Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe also addressed a recent proposal by MPs to legislate their rights to use sirens and drive without speed limits. He found this proposal troubling and questioned the necessity for such privileges for lawmakers.
