Elaine Hatch is the wife of the late former Republican Senator, Orrin Hatch.
Hatch passed away in Salt Lake City on Saturday, April 23, 2022, aged 88.
The American politician is the longest-serving US senator in Utah history. He served from 1977 to 2019 and was also a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
He also chaired the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions from 1981 to 1987.
The death of the politician was announced by A. Scott Anderson, chairman of the Hatch Foundation, via a press release on Saturday.
The statement described Hatch as a ‘man of wisdom, kindness, character, and compassion, Orrin G. Hatch was everything a United States Senator should be.’

It continued: “He exemplified a generation of lawmakers brought up on the principles of comity and compromise, and he embodied those principles better than anyone. In a nation divided, Orrin Hatch helped show us a better way by forging meaningful friendships on both sides of the aisle.”
The cause of Hatch’s death was not immediately known. The statement didn’t mention it at all.

Hatch was married to his wife of 65 years, Elaine Hatch. She has been a supportive wife ever since they tied the knot in 1957. The couple dated for a short period before finally settling down in 1957.
On his official Facebook page, Orrin had been sharing some sweet photos and messages about his beloved wife.
The couple were blessed with six children, namely Scott Hatch, Alysa Hatch, Jesse Hatch, Marcia Hatch, Brent Hatch, and Kimberly Hatch.
Elaine’s net worth is $1 million as of 2022.
