The autopsy report revealing President John Evans Atta Mills’ 2012 cause of death has been requested by the family of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, through the Kyedomhemaa of Ekumfi Asaman, Nana Enyinfua III.
An apparent video of the Kyedomhemaa family members allegedly pleading with the President to help them get the autopsy report of the late President Evan Atta Mill sparked the request.
She argued that as the head of the maternal family, neither she nor the state of Ghana could reveal what led to the death of their king who was the President of Ghana at the time of his decease in 2012.
On Friday, January 12, 2024, Nana Enyinfua led a team from the late Prof. Mills’ maternal family, the Oduma Clan of Ekumfi, to express gratitude to the President for renovating the late President Mills’ final resting place at the Jubilee House in Accra.
I’ve not seen an autopsy report since taking up my position as Obaahemaa. I am not sure if the doctor stated he had a broken neck, a shattered leg, or that he had used alcohol; I am not sure which of those conditions contributed to his death.
“In the name of my entire family, I am appealing to you and your government to assist the family in obtaining the autopsy report so that it will serve as a future reference for the family’s unborn children. We beg that you assist the family in obtaining and filing it before your tenure ends,” she continued. she continued.
Nana Enyinfua also congratulated President Akufo-Addo on renovating the late Atta-Mills’ final resting place and asked the President to carry out a project in honor of the late President at Otuam, his hometown.
