Independent Candidate in the Ejisu by-election, Kwabena Owusu Aduomi, has stated that the outcome of the election will not affect him, whether he wins or loses.
Aduomi, a former Ejisu lawmaker, expressed that the motivation for his candidacy comes from the call of his constituents to continue the good work he had started.
If elected, Aduomi assured that he will serve the interest of Ghana as an independent legislator, focusing on causes that benefit the state. He emphasized his track record of supporting initiatives that were beneficial for the progress of the country during his previous terms in Parliament.
The Electoral Commission is conducting the by-election to fill the vacant seat left by the late Member of Parliament and Deputy Finance Minister, Dr. John Ampontuah Kumah. The NPP has selected Kwabena Boateng as their candidate, while the NDC has opted out of participating in the by-election.
Aduomi faces stiff competition from Kwabena Boateng, the NPP candidate, as he runs independently after parting ways with the party.
