Egypt coach laments – “we are sad”

Rui Vitoria, head coach of Egypt, is said to be very sad due to the failure and inability of the DR. Congo. He said he is sad his side failed to advance to the quarterfinal stage of the 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote ‘d’Ivoire.

Quoting that, “It wasn’t what we expected; we came up against a tough opponent. Each team has its own strong and weak moments.”

“He added vividly that we’re very sad. We worked hard to go far in the competition,” he exclaimed highly.

Meanwhile, it was noted that there was a penalty shootout, and that wasn’t our day; however, in football, there are good times and bad moments, said the coach of the Egyptians.

According to reports and, however, to the coach, he would take part in the responsibility for the defeat and loss and vowed to keep working with his entire team to succeed on conditions that remain good with them entirely.

He proceeded by saying that he is very proud of his players and that they can perform outstandingly, to the point that even the worst team cannot stand them. He added that, as said earlier, every day goes with its fortune, be it bad or good.

“My knowledge of Egyptian football probably helped us; they are a good team but we were better today; mentally, I think we were very strong,” he quoted.

“Now we’ll try to recover well and then we’ll take it match after match, starting with Guinea as our next opponent,” he added strongly.

DR Congo defeated the Egyptians to enable them to reach the quarterfinals of the competition.
