A 22-year-old medical doctor who graduated from Cape Coast University in 2023 has been named an ambassador for STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education in the nation by the Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum.

After sharing his own educational experiences with the kids, he revealed that the young doctor will shortly be given support to tour pre-tertiary schools around the nation encouraging them to take their studies seriously.

When Dr. Kwaku Boakye Gyamfi, 22, and his parents recently paid him a courtesy call in Accra, Dr. Adutwum made this announcement.

In his welcoming words, Dr. Adutwum commended the young physician for his dedication to his studies, which enabled him to achieve this accomplishment. He also urged the physician to maintain his focus as he got ready to start his horsemanship at the 37 Military Hospital shortly.

Once more, he praised the parents for their unwavering support of their son’s education, which has enabled him to get to this point.

“Your story is worthy of emulation by the youth; you have a good story to share to motivate other youth to study hard, irrespective of your course of study,” stated the minister of education.

The young physician’s accomplishment, he said, is evidence that the country’s education system is doing a lot of work, and he promised to keep up his tremendous efforts to use education to assist the country’s change.

The youthful Dr. Kwaku Boakye Gyamfi informed the minister that he was pleased with the welcome he had received and that he would work with the ministry to encourage other younger students to treat their education seriously.

He also promised to keep putting in a lot of effort so he could help the nation provide high-quality healthcare.
