Additionally, he sang as a guest vocalist for Temple of the Dog, a one-time tribute group formed in memory of the late singer Andrew Wood.

Eddie Vedder was born Edward Louis Severson III in the Chicago suburb of Evanston, Illinois, on December 23, 1964, to Karen Lee Vedder and Edward Louis Severson Jr. His parents divorced in 1965 when Vedder was an infant. His mother soon remarried a man named Peter Mueller. Vedder was raised believing that Mueller was his biological father, and he went by the name Edward Mueller for a time

Vedder had three younger half-brothers from his adoptive father and mother. In the mid-1970s, the family, including Vedder’s, moved to San Diego County, California. He lost a brother in 2016, Chris Mueller died during a climbing accident in Africa. Eddie Vedder had to go through a lot to get over him and he had often described it as one of the most painful experiences he had ever had to go through.
