Dylan Christopher Minnette is an American actor, musician, and vocalist who was born on December 29, 1996. Minnette, the sole child of Robyn and Craig Minnette, was born in Evansville, Indiana. In order for him to pursue an acting career, the family first relocated to Champaign, Illinois, where they stayed for five years. Later, they made their way to Los Angeles, California.
He is well-known for his performance in the Netflix drama series 13 Reasons Why as Clay Jensen. In numerous television shows, including Lost, Awake, Scandal, Grey’s Anatomy, Supernatural, Prison Break, and Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., he has made cameo appearances. In addition, he plays rhythm guitar and sings lead for the American alternative rock band Wallows.
In movies, Minnette has acted in Let Me In (2010), a horror movie, Prisoners (2013), a comedy starring the whole family, Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day (2014), Goosebumps (2015), Don’t Breathe (2016), The Open House (2018), and Scream (2022).
