Dwayne Haskins was a quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers whose death is being processed by many in the diaspora today.
Prior to the 2021 season, Haskins joined the Steelers. Following Ben Roethlisberger’s retirement, he battled his way to the starting quarterback position this season.
Haskins attended Ohio State and was drafted in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the Washington Commanders.
Haskins was a standout at Ohio State before failing to make an impression in the NFL with Washington and Pittsburgh.
Since he collided with a dump truck, authorities have been seeking to find out a possible CCTV in the process.
He died on April 9, 2022.
