Young Dutch star Jeremie Frimpong was the hero for Bayer Leverkusen as they thrashed Eintracht Frankfurt 5-1 on Sunday. The Ghanaian descent player came off the bench to make a significant impact on the game.

Although Frimpong started on the bench for the Bundesliga champions, he made his presence felt when he scored a crucial goal in the second half. The match started with Granit Xhaka opening the scoring for Leverkusen in the 12th minute. However, Eintracht Frankfurt managed to equalize through Hugo Ekitike in the 32nd minute.

Before halftime, Patrick Schick scored again to give the visitors the lead. In the second half, it was all about Leverkusen as Frimpong found the back of the net along with Exequiel Palacios and Victor Boniface. The comprehensive victory sees Leverkusen strengthen their grip at the top of the Bundesliga table.

Frimpong has been in impressive form this season, with his goal against Frankfurt taking his tally to nine goals and seven assists in 30 league appearances for Bayer Leverkusen. The young Dutch-Ghanaian player is proving to be a key player for his team as they push for the Bundesliga title.
