Hearts of Oak suffered a 2-0 defeat to Legon Cities on matchday 27 of the Ghana Premier League, and coach Abubakar Ouattara has attributed the loss to a power outage the night before the game.

The Phobians faced their fourth loss in five games, prompting fans to confront the coach over the team’s recent poor performances.

Ouattara explained that off-field issues, such as the lack of electricity and water at their hotel the night before the match, contributed to their struggles on the game day. He urged fans to be patient and understand the challenges the team is facing, stating, “These are the materials I have. I do not have any players anywhere else, so, I have to work with them.”

The defeat has dropped Hearts of Oak to 11th place on the league table, following Asante Kotoko’s win over FC Samartex. Despite the setback, Ouattara remains focused on improving the team’s performance in upcoming matches.
