One of the 12 boys who were freed from a flooded cave in Thailand in 2018 after spending more than two weeks trapped inside has passed away in England, where he was enrolled in a sports academy, the organisation funding his education announced on Wednesday.
Duangphet “Dom” Phromthep, 17, was discovered unconscious in his room at the Brooke House College Football Academy in Leicestershire on Sunday.
According to the Thailand-based Zico Foundation, he was rushed to a hospital, where he passed away on Tuesday. The institution also attested to his demise.
