Dreams FC dealt a heavy blow to Asante Kotoko with a convincing 2-0 victory in the Ghana Premier League at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu on Sunday.
The Still Believe lads secured back-to-back wins over the Porcupine Warriors in the 2023/24 season, adding to their narrow triumph in Kumasi back in November.
Sylvester Simba opened the scoring for the home team after 25 minutes, giving Dreams FC a well-deserved lead heading into halftime. In the second half, Derrick Agyei found the back of the net to seal the victory for Karim Zito’s side.
The win sees Dreams FC climb out of the relegation zone, now sitting in 14th place on the league standings with 31 points. Asante Kotoko, on the other hand, have dropped to 12th place with 33 points after 26 matches.
The victory for Dreams FC will surely boost their confidence as they look to finish the season strong, while Kotoko will need to regroup and bounce back from this disappointing result.
