Drake’s ascent on the Hot 100 charts has now put him in a prestigious three-way tie for the sixth most number one songs in the chart’s illustrious history.

He shares this distinction with legendary acts like The Supremes and Madonna.

Only the biggest names in music, including The Beatles, Mariah Carey, Rihanna, and Michael Jackson, have amassed more money

Drake and SZA’s latest collaboration, “Slime You Out,” has made its debut at the number one spot on the Hot 100, marking the first time in 2023 that a rap song has achieved this milestone.

This achievement is not only significant for the rap genre but also for both artists, as it comes with a slew of remarkable chart milestones.

For over a year, rap music endured a chart drought, with few rap songs breaking into the top spots. Doja Cat’s “Paint The Town Red” ended this dry spell a few weeks ago, claiming the number one position, and now, “Slime You Out” has continued this resurgence of rap in the charts.

The Hot 100 charts now boast a top three occupied entirely by rap and R&B songs, emphasizing the genre’s resurgence.

Behind “Slime You Out” is Doja Cat’s “Paint The Town Red,” which has held steady at number two for seven weeks.
