Paul Edward Farmer, co-founder of Partners in Health, has died at the age of 62.
He passed away in his sleep in Kigali, Rwanda.
The cause of his death is unknown.
Dr Paul Farmer was a Kolokotrones University Professor as well as the chair of the Department of Global Health and Social Medicine at Harvard Medical School.
He co-founded Partners in Health along with Jim Yong Kim, Ophelia Dahl, Thomas J. White, and Todd McCormack in 1987.
