Vice President of Ghana Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is said to address the nation on February 7 to lay out his vision and broader plan for Ghana ahead of this year’s general elections.
According to the CEO of the National Lottery Authority Sammi Awuku, who spoke on Peace FM’s morning show ‘Kokrokoo’, revealed that the Vice President is putting together vital information for this major speech.
Sammi Awuku stated that Dr. Bawumia will use the occasion to “set the tone for what will define his presidency”.
“He’s preparing to speak to the nation 7th of February and it will set the tone for what will define his presidency when elected. It’s expected that he will lay his broader plan and vision for Ghana.
“He’s also expected to speak on where we are and where we are going as well as the economy. The speech will also capture ideas that will be in the manifesto…We have a job to perform and a task to deliver,” Awuku said.
James Kwabena Bonfeh, who is the former CPP General Secretary present at the station also aver that it has taken Dr. Bawumia too long to cogent his vision since being elected NPP flagbearer in November 2023.
“Between November 4 and January 17; it’s too long a time not to have stated that vision,” Bonfeh said.
