Dr Bawumia’s decision to appoint 50 ministers vindicates Mahama – Asiedu Nketia

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Chairman has maintained that Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s move to reduce the number of ministries is a support for former President John Mahama’s viewpoint.

He was responding to Bawumia’s speech to the country last Wednesday, in which he declared that should he win the presidency, he would limit the number of Ministers and Deputy Ministers to a maximum of 50.

In the past, if the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer is elected president in 2024, he has pledged to appoint less than sixty ministers.

Dr. Bawumia views this as a competition, according to Aseidu Nketia on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem Monday since he is trying to outdo Mahama without fully thinking through the ramifications.

“When you state that you wish to lower the number of ministers to fifty, you are endorsing Mahama. You’re admitting that you concur with Mahama that’s the best course of action,” he said.
