Ghanaians have held Dr. Bawumia, the vice president of the country, accountable for Asantewaa’s failure to win the Sing-a-thon.
They asserted that his attendance at the function facilitated Afua Asantewaa Aduonum’s disqualification by the Guinness World Record.
The Guinness World Record (GWR) rejected Ghanaian singer Afua Asantewaa’s effort at a sing-a-thon a few days ago.
“Unfortunately, Afua’s Guinness World Record attempt for the longest singing marathon was not successful but we hope that she will make another attempt soon,” the GWR tweeted in response to a comment asking about her attempt.
Afua’s previous payment has been reimbursed because the GWR also mentioned that the evidence review had started before she requested expedited service.
Some Ghanaians have responded to this by saying that Asantewaa would have won even if Dr. Bawumia hadn’t gone to the location.
Following her unsuccessful effort at a sing-a-thon, Asantewaa has issued a statement outlining her next course of action.
