Excitement filled the air in Gambaga, North East Region, as Vice President and NPP Flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, broke ground for a modern sports complex.

The aim of this project is to provide state-of-the-art sports facilities for the youth in Gambaga and its surrounding areas, while also serving as a social hub for the entire community.

During the sod-cutting ceremony, attended by enthusiastic youth, Dr Bawumia expressed his belief that the Gambaga Sports Complex will allow the youth to showcase their sporting talents and provide a decent playing ground for local teams. Just a few months ago, Dr Bawumia also inaugurated the Naa Sheriga Sports Complex in Nelerigu, a project he personally spearheaded for the benefit of the community.

Wembley Sports, the contractor for the Gambaga Sports Complex, has committed to completing the project within five months. The funding for this initiative is being provided by Ghana Gas. The proposed facilities will include a 1000-seater stand, VIP area, team and spectator washrooms, changing rooms, and office complexes, among other amenities.

The construction of the Gambaga Sports Complex marks a significant step towards providing the youth in the region with a modern and well-equipped facility to nurture their sporting abilities and promote a healthy lifestyle. The completion of this project will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the community and its sporting aspirations.
