Doug Baillie the former Scottish footballer who played center-half in the Scottish Football league has died at the age of 85.
His death is said to have occurred on 19 February 2022. Doug was born on 27 January 1927 was a backup squad member for the Rangers during the three of the club’s title-winning seasons in the ’60s.
He also made over 100 league appearances for Airdrieonians and Falkirk.
After he retired from football, he worked as a football journalist for The Sunday Post.
