Dorothy Steel was an American actress who lived from February 23, 1926, to October 15, 2021. She began her acting career at the age of 88 and appeared in a number of notable movies, such as Black Panther, Poms, Jumanji: The Next Level, and her last movie, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
She was born in Detroit, Michigan, in 1926, and spent a considerable amount of time there. She spent many years working for the Internal Revenue Service as a senior revenue officer before leaving her position on December 7, 1984. Steel moved to Atlanta from the US Virgin Islands 20 years ago in order to be nearer to her son and grandson. In Riverdale’s Frank Bailey Senior Center, Steel started performing in community theater in 2014. Soon after, she was cast in regional movies. On October 15, 2021, Steel passed away at her home in her native Detroit. She was 95 years old.
