Renowned media personality Nana Aba Anamoah has counseled young ladies not to give in to men’s solicitations on a sexual level in exchange for employment or professional progression.

During her speech on 3Music TV, she emphasized that these compromises not only cause women to be exploited or taken advantage of, but also damage their dignity and self-respect.

“It’s just that some men think that is how they can exhibit power…If you are a young girl and you are caught up in that situation, I’ll say to you, do not have sex with a man,” the broadcast journalist said.

“One girl told me if ‘I have sex with a man it’s not written on my forehead, nobody will know’. Yes, but it is your dignity. If you want to have sex with a man, have sex with a man but not because there is an opportunity at stake, that is your self-esteem gone,” she added.

She firmly feels that any woman in such a position should not risk it, even though she has never had a male give her such an ultimatum at work.

She further mentioned that, contrary to popular belief, the young women in these circumstances cannot be held responsible.

She added, “It is not their fault…if you say watch ‘how you carry yourself,’ then you are apportioning some blame to the young women.” in response to the inclination to hold young women responsible for these situations. “This girl is competent, but I have to get into her pants before she gets the job,” believes an insane man. Thus, the young lady is not at fault,” she remarked.

According to Nana Aba Anamoah, ladies who like to engage in mutual sex are perfectly OK, but they should never do so because there is a chance that might be lost.

“It goes without saying that you will face so many obstacles that you will eventually need the employment and the money. But I want to make sure every young woman knows that it’s not a good idea to trade sex for a job,” she remarked.
