An American comedian, actor, and radio host Donnell Rawlings was born on December 6, 1968. Donnell Rawlings was raised in Alexandria, Virginia, alongside his mother, after being born in Washington, D.C. His alma mater was T.C. Williams High School in Alexandria. Rawlings was an Air Force member of the United States. He was stationed at Bolling Air Force Base in Washington, D.C., and in South Korea in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
His most well-known parts are from the HBO drama The Wire and the sketch comedy TV series Chappelle’s Show on Comedy Central. The two things for which Rawlings is most well-known are his regular cameos in sketches on Chappelle’s Show and his co-hosting of the third season alongside Charlie Murphy.
When he appeared on the show, he would often conclude his remarks with “Son!” and utilize the catchphrase “I’m rich, biaaaaatch!” Rawlings plays Ashy Larry from Chappelle’s Show in the sketch comedy series “From Ashy to Classy,” which can be viewed on Heavy.com. Ashy Larry imagines what his life might be like if he were more cultured, so he created Ashford Lawrence, a reporter for heavy.com, and names him that.
