Donald Johnston, Canadian economist, lawyer, and politician has died at the age of 85.
He was the general secretary for the Organization For Economic Cooperation and Development from 1996 to 2006.
Johnston also served as a minister under Pierre Elliot Trudeau’s government in the early 80,s. He was born in Ottawa, Ontario.
He studied at McGill University where he graduated with a BA and was a Gold Medallist in 1958.
