Known for commentating on Impact Wrestling, Donald West was an American salesman, television personality, and professional wrestler.  In the past, West hosted shows on the Shop at Home Network.

Don West first got involved in television shopping when he applied to be the host of the Sports Collectibles program on the Shop at Home Network.

He was turned down because of his “scrabbly voice,” despite having a degree in sports broadcasting and the fact that his brother Dale was the Shop at Home Network’s chief financial officer.

West started advertising knives on television in 1991, and in March 1993 he was hired by the Shop at Home Network after submitting an application. Sales increased from US$3 million to US$150 million between 1993 and 2001. Along with selling sports souvenirs, West also promoted Beanie Babies and Pokémon figurines.

On three episodes of Saturday Night Live, Will Ferrell and Chris Kattan parodied West and his co-host, Eddy Lewis.

Don West was the color commentator for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) from 2002 to 2007. He joined TNA as a commentator in 2001 after leaving the Shop at Home Network. The economic downturn of 2008 led to the demise of West’s sports talk show on WNSR.

On February 26, 2009, West walked out on his commentary partner Mike Tenay during the second episode of Impact! He later became the pitchman for WildWestDeals.com. On May 28, 2012, it was reported that West had given his notice and would be leaving TNA.

West made an announcement on June 16, 2021, stating that he had been diagnosed with brain lymphoma and had started treatment. Mike Tenay provided confirmation that West, who was 59 years old, had passed away from lymphoma on December 30, 2022.
