Doja Cat’s mother claims the star also suffered “physical harm such as… bruises and lacerations” at the hands of her sibling. A judge has only partially granted the restraining order.
Deborah Sawyer, 62, requested a court to include Doja Cat in a temporary restraining order against her son, Raman Dalithando Dlamini, Sky News’s US partner network NBC News reported.
According to documents obtained by TMZ, Sawyer alleged Dalithando Dlamini gave his sister cuts and bruises, as well as knocking out her teeth and destroying or stealing some of her property.
She went on to allege her son had been verbally abusive to his famous sister in a “very degrading and demeaning” way and accused him of making the 28-year-old star feel “unsafe and traumatized”.
When it comes to her safety, Sawyer alleged she had been physically abused and threatened multiple times over the last year by her son and claimed the most recent incident took place earlier this month.
A judge partially granted the order, pending a 31 January hearing, but said there was “insufficient good cause shown” to include Doja Cat and that the singer could file for her order.
“Raman has destroyed and stolen property,” claimed the petition, which was filed in a Los Angeles Superior Court.
“Raman has verbally assaulted her in a very degrading and demeaning [manner]. Raman has made her feel unsafe and traumatized.”
