On Sunday (June 12), the 60-year-old country music star took to social media to inform fans of his illness.
Keith began his tweet, (Last fall, I was diagnosed with stomach cancer. I’ve spent the last six months undergoing chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery. Thus far, so good. I need to take some time to breathe, recover, and relax.)
Interestingly, Boomtown Entertainment founded Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill, a restaurant chain inspired by country music singer Toby Keith.
Keith’s 2003 single I Love This Bar, from his eighth studio album Shock’n Y’all, inspired the bar’s name. They specialize in American cuisine, particularly Southern fare. There is no cover charge for live musical entertainment provided by local performers in the bars on a regular basis.
