Stephen Perry, 73, is a singer and songwriter from the United States.
He is most noted for the stellar role he played as the lead singer of the rock band Journey. Between the mid-80s and 90s, Perry enjoyed a successful solo career.

Perry, even though he is not in the spotlight as he used to be in the past still sings and records. He had to take a break from his duties as the lead singer of the rock band Journey because of a hip injury he suffered in 1998.
He didn’t feel let down by the decision of the band to drop him for a fresh singer. He rather felt grateful to the band.
“I had my time,” he says, “and I was very pleased with all the history I was fortunate to be around and I was proud of my musical contributions to any of it.”
He decided to return to music full-time in 2018 and has since not looked back.
