Roger Jason Stone is a Republican political strategist and lobbyist from the United States. Stone has worked on the campaigns of Republican leaders such as Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, Jack Kemp, Bob Dole, George W. Bush, and Donald Trump since the 1970s.
Does Roger Stone still support Trump?
Stone worked as an adviser to Donald Trump’s presidential campaign in 2016. On August 8, 2015, Stone departed the campaign amid controversy, with Stone saying he resigned and Trump alleging Stone was fired.
Despite this, Stone continued to back Trump.
Tone stated that he entered politics as an elementary school student during the 1960 presidential election to help John F. Kennedy’s presidential campaign: “I recall walking through the lunch line and informing every youngster that Nixon was in support of school on Saturdays… It was my very first political ploy.”
He engineered the president’s ouster and succeeded him as a junior and vice president of student government at John Jay High School in northern Westchester County, New York. Stone recounted his senior year campaign for president: “I established coalitions and put all my major competitors on my ticket.” Then I recruited the school’s most despised student to run against me. Do you think that’s cruel?
