American professional basketball player Kyrie Andrew Irving is with the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association. Irving was inspired as a young boy by his father, who was also a professional basketball player. Irving was very active in sports while he was in high school because he was inspired and helped by his father. He attended Montclair Kimberley Academy and then St. Patrick High School, where he excelled as a player.
In the 2011 NBA drafts, he was selected with the first overall pick due to his expertise in basketball. He has won a championship in the NBA and played for the United States national team, which helped them win a gold medal at the Summer Olympics in 2016. Irving has also made a few television appearances outside of sports.
He appeared as a guest star in an episode of “Kickin’ It,” a Disney XD comedy show inspired by martial arts that ran from 2011 to 2015. In February 2017, Irving caused a stir when he said that the Earth is flat, which is not what most people think or what modern science says. He was less aggressive later in an interview and encouraged individuals to conduct additional research on the subject themselves.
