Manti Malietau Former American football linebacker Louis Te’o was born on January 26, 1991. At Notre Dame, where he played collegiate football, Te’o was a unanimous All-American and won eight national honours. He played in the NFL until 2021 after being selected by the San Diego Chargers in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft.

Te’o played for the Punahou School in Honolulu, a private co-ed school where he had also gone to middle school. Te’o made a strong start to his varsity career in 2006, earning selection to the second-team all-state roster as a sophomore.
Te’o won the Gatorade State Player of the Year and Honolulu Advertiser State Defensive Player of the Year awards in 2007 while still a junior. He totalled 400 rushing yards and ten touchdowns as a running back, along with 90 tackles and five sacks on defence, earning him first-team all-state recognition. Colleges and recruiters paid Te’o a lot of attention during the process.
