Karine Jean-Pierre was born in France but she was raised with her three siblings in Queens Village , New York, United States.

She is the oldest of four children. Karine shared that as early as the age of 5, she had to assume the responsibility of taking care of her younger siblings.

Karen had her tertiary education from New York Institute of Technology and Columbia University.

At Columbia university, she became the student government and decided from there to pursue politics.

Karine is now recognized as a political commentator, political campaign organizer , an activist and an author.

She became the White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary in 2021. She is now set to be the 35th White House Press Secretary on 13th May, 2022.

Karine will be the first black person to hold that position.
