The UFC Light Heavyweight Championship has twice been won by American mixed martial artist Jonathan Dwight Jones. He has earned a reputation as one of the greatest mixed martial artists of all time, but he has also developed a sad persona, and his life story has become somewhat of a cautionary tale. Jones was raised in a middle-class family in New York, and religion has had a significant impact on his life ever since he was a little child.
At Union-Endicott High Scholastic in upstate New York, he won the state wrestling championship and shown exceptional skills during his school years. He played defensive lineman football as well. When Jones’ MMA career really took off, he dropped out of college and initially intended to pursue a degree in criminal justice.
