The romance between Jared Padalecki and Genevieve Padalecki, nee Cortese, began on the set of the TV show Supernatural. Cortese joined the cast as Ruby in the fourth season, replacing Kate Cassidy as a recurring role.
Padalecki proposed to Cortese in front of their favorite painting, Joan of Arc, by French realist Jules Bastien-Lepage at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art in October 2009. Their engagement was announced in January 2010.
Their marriage ceremony took place in Cortese’s hometown, Sun Valley, Idaho, on February 27, 2010.
The couple has three children together; two sons and a daughter. Their children are often featured on the couple’s Instagram accounts, @genpadalecki, and @jaredpadalecki.
On October 10, 2011, the couple announced that they were expecting their first child together. On March 19, 2012, their first bundle of joy arrived, his name was decided to be Thomas Colton Padalecki.
A year later, on December 22, 2013, Thomas Colton, was joined by his younger brother, Austin Shepherd Padalecki. Four years later the family had a new addition. Their daughter, Odette Elliott Padalecki, was born on March 17, 2017.
