After serving Twitter for 16 years, Jack Dorsey is no more the CEO of the social media giant.
He made this decision after realising that ‘it’s critical a company can stand on its own and free of its founder’s influence or direction’.
Jack named Parag Agrawal his replacement. The Indian-American tech genius and the company’s chief technology officer is taking over as CEO effective November 29, 2020.
“The board ran a rigorous process considering all options and unanimously appointed Parag,” Jack said in his statement. “He’s been my choice for some time given how deeply he understands the company and its needs. Parag has been behind every critical decision that helped turn this company around.”
“He’s curious, probing, rational, creative, demanding, self-aware, and humble. He leads with heart and soul, and is someone I learn from daily. My trust in him as our CEO is bone deep,” his statement added.

Does Jack Dorsey still run Twitter?
Well, a lot of people are looking for answers after his resignation.
First of all, he is a co-founder of Twitter – which means he is tied to the company even after his death. Secondly, Twitter has disclosed that Jack Dorsey will continue to serve on Twitter Board until his term expires in 2022.
Although his term expires in 2022, Jack will not completely abandon something he built from scratch. He might not be directly involved in its day-to-day administration; however, he will have an influential role in the company.
