Popular American producer and convicted sex offender, Harvey Weinstein was born on March 19, 1952, to diamond cutter Max Weinstein (1924–1976) and his wife Miriam (née Postel; 1926–2016), in the Flushing neighborhood of Queens, New York City.
His maternal grandparents emigrated from Poland, and he comes from a Jewish background. He was raised in Electchester, a housing co-op in New York City, alongside his younger brother, Bob.
Weinstein attended the State University of New York in Buffalo after graduating from John Bowne High School.
