Does Emily Blunt have a disability?
Blunt was born to Joanna Blunt and barrister Oliver Blunt, QC. She is the second of four children and her siblings are Felicity, Sebastian, and Susannah.
From the age of seven to the age of 14, the actress struggled with stuttering. Her parents took her to speech coaches and relaxation coaches however, they didn’t work.
She later managed her stuttering through acting, something she credits to her school teacher. She later went on to attend Ibstock Place School in Roehampton in southwest London.
When she was 16, she went to Hurtwood House near Dorking, Surrey. Hurtwood House is a private sixth-form college well-known for its performing arts program. It was there that she was discovered and signed by an agent.
The actress sits on the board of directors for the American Institute for Stuttering.
