American actor Daniel Peter Masterson was born on March 13, 1976. He is recognized for his parts of Steven Hyde (1998–2006) in That ’70s Show, Milo Foster (2012–2014) in Men at Work, and Jameson “Rooster” Bennett (2013–2015) in The Ranch (2016–2018).

Masterson played Justin in Cybill and appeared in Beethoven’s 2nd at the beginning of the 1990s. Masterson opted to leave Cybill after appearing in its third and fourth seasons, and he went on to audition for a program originally called Teenage Wasteland, which was ultimately renamed That ’70s Show.

Masterson’s audition was first rejected by Debby Romano, the original casting director for That ’70s Show, due to his modest age difference from the other cast members, but she eventually gave in. According to her, “he walked in and he was just so funny,” and he redefined the direction the part was taking by making Steven Hyde a “tough, humorous person.”
