Do the Queen and Lilibet Diana share the same birthday?

Lilibet Diana, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s daughter, will celebrate her first birthday on June 4, 2022, the same weekend as Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations!

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will celebrate the birth of their second child on the same weekend as the United Kingdom will mark the 70th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth’s accession to the British monarchy in 1952.

Do the Queen and Lilibet Diana share the same birthday?

After her father, King George VI, died in February 1952, the Queen ascended to the throne and was officially coronated on June 2, 1953.

The Buckingham Palace planned a weekend of activities as part of her Platinum Jubilee celebrations, which would take place from June 2 to 5, which coincides with Lilibet’s birthday.

On Lilibet’s birthday, the Queen is expected to attend the Derby at Epsom Downs and the BBC’s Platinum Party at Buckingham Palace, according to the royal itinerary.

It’s unknown whether Prince Harry and his family will attend the Jubilee celebrations in the UK, and it’s worth noting that the Queen has yet to meet baby Lilibet for the first time since her birth in the United States last year.
