Families of all sizes, whether huge or tiny, can experience family disputes.
One of the biggest music performers in the world has experienced her fair share of familial difficulties.

Christopher Ciccone, Madonna’s brother, and Madonna were formerly close. However, after Ciccone published a tell-all book about his famous sister, the two’s relationship broke down completely.

They were two of eight children born to Italian and French-Canadian immigrant parents.
When Madonna’s fame started to grow, she accompanied Ciccone.

What did Christopher Ciccone say about Madonna?

Ciccone started off as his sister’s personal assistant before rising to the position of concert and tour director.
Also, he contributed behind-the-scenes work to the 1991 film Madonna: Truth or Dare.

Up until 2001, when the conflict started to brew, the singer of Like a Virgin’s sibling would continue to collaborate closely with the celebrity.
Madonna had not hired Ciccone to help with her Drowned World Tour, Ciccone learned.

In a later interview with The Guardian, Ciccone said: “From the moment I found out that I wasn’t doing Drowned World, to her and Guy’s wedding, everything became a bit of a blur, a dark, fairly negative period of time for me.”

The once-close relationship between Ciccone and Madonna appeared to be suffering as a result of her marriage to Guy Ritchie and his exclusion from the impending tour.

Ciccone claims that the vocalist of Into the Groove falsely accused him of stealing, which solidified their animosity.

“It took the final email accusing me of stealing from her, of swindling her after 20 years of being the only person that hadn’t,” Ciccone said to the Irish Times.

As a result of the accusations, Ciccone began working covertly with Wendy Leigh in 2008; Leigh had previously written biographies of Liza Minnelli, Prince Edward, and John F. Kennedy Jr.
My Life with My Sister Madonna, a candid memoir they co-wrote and published, was the result of their collaboration.

When her father told her that Ciccone had asked for never-before-seen family photos, Madonna supposedly learned about the memoir.
At this time, Madonna began furiously trading emails with the end of her final email apparently reading, “You’ll both be sorry.”
