When Dale entered his freshman year, he was selected as Alabama’s starting nose tackle. With 17 tackles, three tackles for loss, one sack, and one quarterback hurry, he had a successful season.
He recorded 22 tackles, one tackle for loss, two pass breakups, and one recovered fumble as a sophomore. In his junior year, Dale recorded 18 tackles, four tackles for a loss, and two sacks.
