Dido is the stage name of English musician Florian Cloud de Bounevialle O’Malley Armstrong, who was born on December 25, 1971.

On Christmas Day in 1971, Dido was born to Florian Cloud de Bounevialle Armstrong. Since she was born on Christmas Day, she imitates Paddington Bear and celebrates her “official birthday” on June 25.

No Angel, her debut record, helped her gain international recognition (1999). Included on the album are the number-one singles “Here with Me” and “Thank You.” She received several honors for it, including the MTV Europe Music Award for Best New Act and two Brit Awards for Best British Album and Best British Female. Additionally, more than 21 million copies of the song were sold worldwide.

The electronic band Faithless is made up of Rowland Constantine O’Malley Armstrong, better known by his stage name Rollo, Dido’s older brother.

This song, which was written by the duo of American rapper Eminem and the band “Stan,” uses a sample of “Thank You’s” opening line.
