Didier Deschamps, a French football coach and former player who was a defensive midfielder, was born in Bayonne on October 15, 1968. He is now France’s national team’s head coach.
Didier Deschamps, Pierre and Ginette’s second child, was born in a clinic in the Bayonne neighborhood of Lachepaillet. Didier was a quiet, focused student who attended the Sutar school in Anglet.
Once his homework was done, he hurried to play ball with his neighbors or relatives. But he had no desire to play football.
